Massage Therapy is a science, a healing art, and for many individuals, a great way to support their efforts to take care of themselves. It's especially effective combined with fitness programs, dance, yoga, chiropractic, physical therapy and acupuncture/pressure.
 
We will work together to meet your goals. Regular massage increases your own body awareness and muscle memory to help you maintain a healthy posture, relax intentionally, and let go of tension.  Many of us incur repetitive use injuries from the things we do every day -- sitting at a computer, running, holding a baby, driving a car, lifting, stacking, climbing.  Therapeutic massage reduces muscle stiffness and soreness, releases tension, stretches contracted tissues and helps you de-compress from the stress and habits of everyday life.

 My modalities include deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial release and orthopedic techniques.  I'm also certified in oncology massage and pediatric massage.  I believe in the body's wisdom and capacity to heal itself.  Massage is an effective, satisfying way to tune the muscular skeletal/fascial system to work at its optimum.

There is no doubt that there's a powerful effect when the therapist and client are well matched. Together tension is released, circulation improved, sleep patterns normalized, anxiety is reduced and you feel cared for.
